About Us
Designed to Build Athletes,
Shape Character and Create Champions
At Ronin, we blend philosophy, technique, and application to help every student build not just skill, but character. We believe real progress happens when you combine structured learning, intentional training, and a community committed to excellence.

Ronin's Culture
Our culture is built on respect for teammates, instructors, and opponents, paired with discipline in both effort and attitude, consistency in showing up, learning, and improving every day, and a strong sense of community that supports and celebrates each other’s growth.

Technical Progression
We train with purpose and structure. Students first master core movements and fundamentals. Progression builds into advanced techniques, timing, and transitions. Every level follows a clear path toward confident, personal Jiu Jitsu.

Application & Performance
Technique alone isn’t enough. Growth comes from pressure.
We integrate controlled sparring and live rolling to develop timing and awareness.
Competition-style drills sharpen conditioning, transitions, and escapes.
For competitors, we emphasize strategy, mindset, and tournament preparation.

Coaching & Legacy
Our instructors bring real experience and a genuine passion for Jiu-Jitsu. Among them is Ighor Horta, a black belt with a strong lineage, an international training background, and national competition experience.

Ighor's Lineage:

Open Mats, Open Minds, One Art
The art grows stronger when it is shared.
That’s why we encourage cross-training and maintain an open, respectful relationship with academies from all affiliations and backgrounds.
Our doors are open to learning, exchanging ideas, and growing together, not to prove superiority, but to deepen our understanding of Jiu-Jitsu. We believe progress comes from exposure, humility, and mutual respect.
